You don’t have to go to a lot of trouble to create a pretty flower arrangement. There are flowers that float very well in water. Magnolias, for example, will float beautifully in a bowl and make your whole home smell delicious.
A rose from an arrangement fell of its stem recently as I placed the flowers in a vase. It would have been easy to simply discard the rose. Instead, I placed it in one of my teacups just to see whether it would live. It thrived, bloomed wide and smelled lovely.
Now I love floating flowers in teacups. It’s quick, pretty and makes for a simple decorative touch. You only need one for a pop of color. The bonus: it turns out a floating rose actually lasts longer than arrangements. Who knew?
Pretty, sweet, simple! I’m going to put a rose in a teacup and put it on my kitchen table!
