yummy food truck finds

After a couple hours at the TX Food Truck Fest, the husbandface and I were able to try goodies from four trucks. We would have tried others, but the lines were really long at some and some were closed because they ran out of food. We arrived at 4 p.m. The event is scheduled to end at 10 p.m. so hopefully some of those trucks were able to bring in more food for the evening customers.

Our first stop was at the TX Delizioso truck. They ran out of pizza before we got to the window. I ordered the BBQ sandwich with fries. Zach ordered the brisket tacos with fries and cobbler. He got their last cobbler. We both got chips instead of fries, but the chips were good. Zach was disappointed with the tacos, which were dry and plain. The BBQ sandwich was delicious and just moist enough for my taste. Zach loved the cobbler.

We also tried the tigers blood shaved ice from Enticed. It was amazing. Not too sweet or too icy, as some snow cones can be. I’m probably going to stalk that truck all summer. I would totally hire the Enticed truck to come to a party or wedding, if I were throwing one.

Food truck tacos were redeemed when we tried the eats from Rock and Roll Tacos. The tacos were flavorful with just enough kick. And the fresh tortillas were yummy. I recommend the chicken tacos. Get one or two if you’re sampling. Get three if it’s your meal.

There’s still a couple hours to go check out goodness …
