Cinco de Mayo weekend fun 2012

Hey Dallas! You need to add these three fun events to your to do list for the weekend. Take in some art, some science and some quality time with your favorite furball.

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo at the 4th annual Etsy Dallas Spring Bash

You can make things, enjoy great music, cool off with a drink at the full bar, and shop from the dozens of artists at the Spring Bash.

A few vendors you’ll definitely want to check out at the bash: Silla Soup, Christie Cone Ceramics, Dowdy Studio, Regal Cottage, Napkin Art Studios, Pamplemousse1983, Jenni 20 Designs, and ohhhh I could go on and on.

Stop by from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m., May 5.Parking is $5. Admission is free. There will be a little handmade something for everyone. Shop for Mother’s Day or just spoil yourself.

Gaze at the super moon

The super moon is the biggest and brightest of the year. People are sure to be out trying to capture photos of the lunar event. If the shine doesn’t wash them out, you may also see a few meteors from the Eta Aquarid meteor shower.

Take your best friend to the 6th annual Dog Bowl at the Cotton Bowl

From 1-5 p.m., May 6, let your dog run free at the Cotton Bowl. There will be splash pools, giveaways and even pooch portraits. It’s basically dog and dog-lover heaven. Parking is $10 but admission is free.
